That’s right, Jaysee. All freedom comes from God. However, many early settlers came from Europe, because mankind had denied them their God-given freedom. God restored the freedom of the settlers by enabling them to come to America, surviving a difficult journey and initially difficult living conditions in the American wilderness. Daniel Webster was referring to God breaking the chains of the European governments so the settlers could come and experience a renewed freedom.
Later, the U.S. Constitution was written to protect that God-given freedom. It was designed to put the government in chains, rather than the people. Nevertheless, using the brute force of government enabled by progressive laws, the government will continue to nibble away at those hard won freedoms unless the people are “always ready to guard and defend it.” That’s the essence of Daniel Webster’s comment.
Today, Americans have drifted from God, become individually isolated, and have become anesthetized by an overdose of materialism. As such, many are largely indifferent to government and some are essentially ignorant of government. As a result freedom is being lost at an accelerating pace.
The founders considered casting a vote far more than important, critical, or vital to preserving freedom and our country. They considered the vote to be sacred and an absolute obligation. They considered complete character education vitally important to enable the people to cast an informed vote.
For freedom to survive, most votes must be cast for candidates of strong character whose personal driving force is the preservation of freedom. Never cast a vote for a candidate simply because his/her name is seen everywhere on yard signs. What do you think?

It is our personal responsibility to research and choose candidates who represent us carefully. The vote was the most important tool created by the Founders to protect it’s country’s freedoms.
The Founders repeatedly referred to the vote as the “sacred” vote. That is a vote for a candidate of strong character honors God and country. What do you think?
