Is it really possible to vote for God? Absolutely! Here’s why. Here’s how.
The American people have enjoyed the greatest freedom for living and self-determination since the Garden of Eden. The only other culture coming close was the ancient Israelites, during the time of the judges (before the kings), a period of about 400 years.
Movie director Cecile B. DeMille personally introduced his epic, The Ten Commandments, the story of the mass exodus of hundreds of thousands of Hebrew slaves (later known as Israelites) from Egypt. DeMille billed the story as “the birth of freedom.” Thousands of years later, the Founders of the newly born United States of America tasked a small committee, including John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson with designing the Great Seal of the United States.
The Founders used the model of the ancient Israelites for many of the features of the new American government. The Great Seal committee was so inspired by the ancients that an early draft of the Great Seal proposed an embossed sketch of the Hebrews leaving Egypt. The draft was later set aside as excessively complex. However, its existence as part of the preplan underscores the affection the Founders had for the ancient culture and the inspiration they derived from it.
The Founders recognized that freedom and certain rights are gifts from God, not grants from government. Representative freedoms and rights were enshrined in the American Declaration of Independence and codified in the United States Constitution.
The role of future politicians was to protect those freedoms and rights from encroachment by the newly formed Federal government. The Constitution provided powerful protection by confining the Federal government within a very tight box. The Constitution itself could be amended only by a brilliantly well-chosen and deliberately burdensome amendment process.
The writers of the Constitution bound the federal government with very tight restrictions, because they understood that man’s sin nature produced a relentless concentration of power in virtually every culture throughout all time periods of recorded history. Secular philosophers call the same phenomenon “egoism.”
The Constitution was designed to be an anchor for the American government and the American culture. Nearly a century later, the emerging liberal/progressive Humanist movement proclaimed that the Constitution must be a “living” document that can change with the times. From that time on, the liberal big government view challenged the long-standing conservative small government view. The need to restrict the passions of men using a Constitutional lock box is the basis for today’s conservative view supporting small government.
Since the original Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were based, insofar as possible, on Biblical standards and a Biblical worldview, changes to the Constitution inexorably move the American culture away from the original Biblical worldview.
Voting for God is simply voting for candidates up and down the ballot who will do the most to protect those freedoms and rights that are gifts from God, not grants from government. For believers, sitting at home, on election day, is NOT an option; it is a failure to do what is necessary to protect God’s gifts. Voting for a third party candidate is NOT an option; it is a wasted vote and a failure to do what is necessary to protect God’s gifts.
After election day, November 8, 2016, the President of the United States will be either Donald Trump (nationalist) or Hillary Clinton (globalist). As voters, it is important to ignore the trash in the media to focus on the beliefs and actions the candidates are likely to pursue if elected.
As a nationalist, most of Donald Trump’s beliefs are aligned with the Biblical worldview. He is flawed like all candidates, but his actions as president will clearly do the most to protect God’s wonderful, incomparable gifts. Trump will do the most to protect the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage, and the cohesiveness of the family.
As a globalist, Hillary Clinton’s liberal/progressive views and actions as president would be diametrically opposed to Trump’s. Hillary is determined to achieve unlimited abortion at taxpayer expense, greatly expand Planned Parenthood funding, destroy marriage as an important cultural concept, and virtually eliminate American sovereignty by eliminating borders and giving away sovereignty by camouflaging the giveaways in so called free trade agreements.
Finally, the judges appointed by the next president will serve lifetime appointments long after the president leaves office. Trump is committed to appointing conservative Constitutionalist judges, some from a list he has already publicized. Hillary is committed to appointing judges who will arbitrarily exceed Constitutional authority by “legislating from the bench.”
Will America survive or die? It is up to YOU! Vote for God! But first, pray and consider several quotes from those who loved America from the depths of their souls.

Although I plan to vote for the presidential candidate who most nearly represents my values (and not for either major party nominee), I intend to support Republicans for the House and the Senate. Congress will no longer apply the brakes to the Presidency as the Founders intended. The elite of both political parties, the media, academia, and the entertainment industry are now dominated by Humanist/globalists.
PLEASE read on and reconsider your vote. If you are thinking Libertarian, Libertarianism is conservatism without God. Conservatism will not work without God. If you are thinking Green Party, it is a single philosophy fad. A vote for either effectively gives a half a vote to Hillary. Obama has appointed 324 Federal judges (lifetime appointments). Before Obama, just 3 of 13 Federal appellate courts leaned liberal. Today 9 of 13 lean liberal. There are also indications that as President would appoint Obama to a lifetime position on the U.S. Supreme Court, virtually assuring the continued destruction of our beloved America.

Don’t take this as an endorsement of Hillary, but I would rather vote for McMullin, whose positions come closet to mine and whose demeanor is honorable, than vote for Trump. I do not believe that a Republican Congress will rubber-stamp Hillary’s agenda; in fact, when she tries to get away with something nefarious, impeachment remains a possibility with a Republican Congress. Interesting thoughts. Obama should have been impeached years ago, but the Republican congress has not only remained silent, but rubber-stamped Obama virtually everything he wanted. What makes you think a Republican Congress would impeach Hillary when they failed to impeach Obama?
McMullan’s may be closer to yours, but how does voting for someone who has no chance of winning contribute to the betterment of society, especially when we’re facing imminent catastrophic danger?

I understand your position, but I truly fear Trump’s leadership just as much as I fear Clinton’s. In the end, no one can save America aside from Jesus Christ, so I will put my trust in him and not in princes (or princesses)–and I will fear nothing or no one more than I fear God. J.

I understand, but the differences between the positions of Trump and Clinton are as great as the differences between night and day. Trumps pro-life and pro-Israel positions alone are enough to vote for him.

The foundation to being our brother’s keeper in America today is providing a good, appropriate education — jobs — protecting our borders from illegal immigration — having fair trade laws that will lead to jobs here — etc. Whole volumes have been written on these needs.
The answer is not just handing out free cell phones and giving welfare money to those who refuse to work — and I have met some of those. They know how to work the system. But, when the “system” changes to help them get an education and a job, things would hopefully change at least somewhat.
A strong family background is lacking for many. We can help our brothers by taking care of the drug and alcohol problems — along with the lack of family structure. In all this, we need to remember that Jesus warned us that in the end days the hearts of the people will be cold. That might include a rebellion against a family oriented structure, the idea of needing an education, and the idea that working for a living is a satisfying way of life.
Bottom line: absolutely everyone needs Christ as their Savior.

Society may rebel against the traditional family, but as believers we must strongly, vigorously, and visibly support the God-created family.

That “Anonymous” was me while being distracted by a number of extraneous events — all at the same time. : ) That’s life — and age. Sorry to be confusing. But, I do want to stress the need for a strong Christian family. It’s sadly missing these days — and the government cannot “fix” that.
All the details of a lack of Christ in our lives adds up to the cold hearts that Christ Jesus prophesied. Cults in today’s world add to the problems. It looks like Christians need to be grounded in God’s word, as God Himself has always stressed. We cannot change anyone else’s faith in God. Only God can work in the hearts of the people.

When you talk about the need for strong families, you’ve touched the edge of about a three-hour conversation–a bit much for a blog.
Despite what you normally hear, at the root of virtually every cultural controversy are Christians and Jew living a life far away from what the Lord intended. As the great philosopher Pogo Pogo once said, “We have met the enemy and he is us.”

Truer words could not be said about the situation we are in. It’s “a life far away from what the LORD intended” in more ways than we can ever imagine. But, the LORD God Almighty knows it all. In His almighty being, He foretold how the hearts of the people would be cold in the end days. In the last 2,000 + years we have been in the last days. In faith, hope, and love we trust in the Lord and wait for the fruition of His patient working.
And, how do hearts get cold? Through a lack of a heartfelt, true knowledge of the word of God — AND a despising of the word they think they know. That is so true as we see polluted doctrines galore regarding God’s eternal word. We see the majority knowing only a tiny inkling of God’s eternal word — and yet, imagining they know it all. Therefore, they despise it with cold hearts.
God blesses the countries (peoples) that know His word — and keep it. I don’t know of such a country these days. It is disconcerting, but we intensify our looking to the LORD, trusting in His wisdom, love, and care.

There’s a wonderful classic book by Thomas a Kempis called, “The Imitation of Christ.” Those with the courage to read it will discover how very far their life is from the life that our Lord intended. They will also develop a sense of the consequences that result from drifting away from the Lord’s intention.

I vaguely remember bits and pieces of “The Imitation of Christ” having read from it some 50+ years ago, so I don’t remember a whole lot. I just sort of recall thinking that God’s word asks that we live humbly before our God — and that we always rejoice in the Lord in all circumstances because He has washed away all our sins and made us holy before God through faith in Christ Jesus.
It was faith that drew Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Samson, David and many others to trusting in the LORD as they humbly realized their sinful natures. We are all awfully frail — even as we look to our Savior. How very much we must depend on what Jesus has done for us, so that love will lead our lives.

I had a similar decades old memory. However, I recently found “Imitation of Christ” to be far more powerful that I remembered it. The first time, long ago, the book may have exceeded my personal level of maturity.
The more recent copy of the book was purchased second hand through Amazon.com. It was shipped from a Goodwill store in California. Inside the “like new” book was a lengthy handwritten note from a gift giver to a wonderful young girl named Kelsey. There was also a piece of paper with a sketch apparently drawn by a grade-school age child, perhaps touched up by an adult. The name on the artwork was “Madi,” obviously hand printed by a young child.
I use the sketch sheet as a bookmark. It appears that Kelsey and Madi both need prayer. Even though I’ve never met them, I pray for them whenever I have the chance.

That is a very precious story. I’ve saved many pictures that various children have made for me — along with pictures from our own children. Yes, they do have a way of leading us to pray for them.
